The implementation of the half-year Hungarian EU presidency presented a serious challenge for the Unified Digital Radio Communication System (EDR), too. Hungary’s EU presidency involved a host of political, diplomatic, professional, communication and security tasks as the guarding of the delegations required enhanced security presence and coordinated cooperation from the police organs.

Management of the six-month Hungarian EU presidency is a major challenge also for the Unified Digital Radio Communications System (EDR). Hungary's rotation EU presidency involves political, diplomatic, professional and also communication and security tasks because providing security services for the delegations requires increased presence of emergency service bodies and coordinated co-operation between policing bodies.

Some of the manufacturing facilities and employees of Lite-On company will be taken over by the Austrian electronics firm MELECS. MELECS will also manufacture parts for the Tetra system that supports the communication of the emergency and policy organs.

In October 2010 Pro-M Zrt. ordered the upgrade of its EDR network monitoring system, the NetAct application supplied by Nokia.

In the beginning of June a special training took place at the training base of the Hungarian Army Supportive Brigade. During the chemical defence training signal professionals of te Hungarian Army tested their TETRA-based communication system by uploading and forwarding information to the network.
